Green Building Practices

MG Builders uses a “best practices” approach in all our building projects to conserve our natural resources. Each project follows eco-friendly procedures which include:

Use of water-conserving faucets, shower heads & water closets
Drip irrigation on automatic sprinkler timers
Use of water-wise landscape plant materials
Fresh, filtered air ventilation system
Use of sustainable lumber products, including new growth material, recycled/salvaged wood products (finger jointed studs, OSB sheathing (oriented strand board), OSB & plywood floor joists, laminated beams
Use of precision, pre-cut lumber & truss packages to reduce waste
Onsite recycling of waste building materials (concrete, lumber, drywall, roof tile, paint, plaster, steel, copper, aluminum, iron, plastics, cardboard & paper products, glass)

Environmental Stewardship

As a family-owned builder, we here at MG are concerned about our environment. We have made it our top priority to use materials that are eco-friendly. As more awareness of the human impact on the environment has grown, MG has begun incorporating new policies and procedures that are going to help enhance nature in our communities.

MG Builders transformed the entire first floor of our 1960 built split level home and we could not be happier — the end result far exceeded anything we had imagined! We had ideas of things we wanted, but not a clear vision. Jason listened and gave suggestions and alternatives, but most importantly he was honest and not afraid to tell us if he didn’t think we would be happy with something we "thought" we wanted. Jason & Robert use the best craftsmen (their custom cabinet maker, Mike, is phenomenal), work closely with the architect, are trustworthy, and stick to timelines & budgets. They make an overwhelming process manageable. We went from a non-functional kitchen to a completely redone first floor and addition that is both functional and beautiful.

I LOVE my new master bathroom! MG Builders removed a garden tub, replaced it with a beautiful huge shower, moved the toilet to a different location, and added new custom built cabinets. Without hesitation, we would recommend McKee Giuliani Builders. We had several large patios constructed that meandered around the side and back of our home plus a fire pit area and back porch exit addition added. There was also a deep window well from the basement done in limestone, limestone steps to the house installed, lighting, and landscaping to complete the job. The project lasted about 8 weeks or more, and there was not one day where work was not being done. We really enjoyed seeing the daily progress, and the end result was fantastic.
